West Yorkshire Branch – a brief history!

Since that first meeting of five enthusiasts in the Drysalters pub , Elland Road , Leeds on October 7th 1980 organised by Phillip Ellis our Honorary President, the Branch has gone from strength to strength thanks to the hard work of the various Committees and the loyal support of its many members, to become one of the most well-respected and strongest Branches of the MMOC. Recognised as such by the MMOC, our Branch has been granted the honour of staging many Regional and National Rallies during this time.

As well as catering for the technical aspects of the car, the Branch indulges in many different social events and rallies throughout the year, some of which raise money for a selected charity each year (total to date almost £20,000).

EVERYONE is welcome to join our Branch and attend the monthly meetings, but for any who can’t on a regular basis there is the opportunity of subscribing to our monthly Branch Newsletter ‘Minor Lines’ to keep in touch with the West Yorkshire scene.
